Our Bunny Petra just passed away at the hospital! Att: to all bunny owners, there is a strange fly that is laying eggs in the bunny's fur, after it becomes worm and travels through the skin. Potentially life-threatening, also can damage nerve or muscle, as well can be found in the brain. Very dangerous. Pls keep your bunnies inside your house, it is not as much fun, but will keep them alive longer. My heart is breaking because recently we lost our handicap Bunny Mr. Hops... The biggest problem for two of my bunnies is that Vet care was not only horrible and careless, but it made their health even worse// With a right medical diagnose both of my bunnies would be alive now. THanks for the horrible vet care to Amherst Animals Hospital !!! The treatment was expensive and absolutely wrong and useless!! We found that from one of the veterinarian At the Guelph. Our bunny Petra had a wrong treatment by the Dr. A. Young at the first place, and it was too late for the real professionals to do anything at this point.. The place our bunny passed away was University of Guelph Animals Hospital. We will file a complain to the college of vet of Ontario. doctors. Our hearts are breaking , no one will return our loving pet back again..I wonder how Hospital like Amherst even charge money for useless treatments and no professional experience.I have no idea how they get those good reviews, Im certainly sure that they hire somebody to do that for them. Today at the Guelph clinic we met several people who lost their bunnies during the wrong medical treatment at the Amherst. Together we will file for investigation. Pet owners and their pets deserve honest and professional care , not guessing and over medicating pets with some wrong treatment.

  • Dr Young was very helpful in treating our Bearded Dragon. She did a good job of explaining the treament nessasary for Diesel's infection. The recetionist staff and Vet Techs were very friendly and helpful.

DO NOT GO TO THIS CLINIC EVER. THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR PET, ONLY YOUR WALLET. THEY WILL LET YOUR PET DIE. This clinic has blood on their hands. They let our bunnies condition (one of her eyes was watering but later we found out it was because of a parasite which was very easy to detect) get so bad that she died. When we went to Guelph University Animal Clinic they found the problem right away (sadly our bunny died the same day while in the care of Guelph because it was too late) and the medicine Amherst was prescribing was making my bunnies condition worsen. Shame on you Alison Young (the vet from Amherst), you graduated from Guelph and have so many qualifications yet you couldn't solve a simple problem and let it get so bad that our beloved pet died. We spent so much money, so much time, yet you couldn't solve something so simple. You let a healthy animal with a very curable condition die.
