  Dawson Dental is a representation of corporate greed in its best form! My first time - I came in for a routine cleaning. After the cleaning they suggested that I do the complete check up (x-rays, etc...) which would also include a free cancer screening test. I agreed and scheduled that for my next visit. After I left the center, I was charged twice for the procedure. I had to go back to the office and they rectified the mistake. I said honest mistake... can happen to anyone. The next time after I came in for the check up - I was charged for the "free" cancer screening test. AGAIN I had to go back to the office and rectify the mistake. At that time, their dentist recommended that I have a certain preventative procedure done on my molars to help prevent cavities. I agreed to that procedure but after the dentist finished my work they charged me a whopping fee for a procedure that is completely different. I called the office twice before having someone tell me the doctor will get in touch with me in the next 2 hours. Well guess what.... 2 hours later NO CALLS. No actually... make that 2 days later and still NO CALLS. I had to come to the office AGAIN and have them explain their billing practice. According to them, the procedure I was charged for was the one the dentist did on me even though I never consented for it. I asked how can you do that procedure, bill me for it when I never consented for it? Their response was a measly "sorry - but this procedure is better and is worth it in the long run". REALLY? Your doctors don't decide what is best for the PATIENT without their knowledge and input. I was revolted by the complete lack of ability to effectively communicate something between a dentist and their patient. Jesus christ... how hard is it to tell your goddamn dentist to mention to the patient the actual name of the procedure they plan to do? Not say some other one and then bill the patient for something completely different. Folks, Dawson Dental may follow the Ontario Dental Fee Guide but they will still use every opportunity to gouge you for money. Whether it is by "erring" in billing, up-coding their claims or simply not obtaining consent. They will ease you in slowly with their "free" services initially but this dental office will follow all of these aforementioned practices that put profits above patients by your 3rd visit. Please save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else where honesty in the doctor-patient relationship is more valued and upheld.
