  Just a short time ago, my daughter Sara and myself brought our sweet boy Toby to Helen at Pets at Peace. Our trip was a long one all the way from Ottawa. We wouldn't have taken our boy to anywhere else. I can say wholeheartedly that Helen is one of the finest people I have had the pleasure to meet. Toby was 14 when he died. My boy Zeke was 10 when he died, and my sweet Rosie was 16 when she died. Helen has taken care of all our sweet babies and I will always be indebted to her for showing such kindness, care, and compassion for our babies and for us, Sara and I, who grieve for them now and forever.   Our sweetheart dog passed away and we used the services of Pets At Peace to help us get through this incredibly difficult time. On the day of the private cremation, we got to see our dog beforehand. We expected it to be extremely difficult and although it was hard, it brought us such a sense of peace. He looked so beautiful. He looked like he was sleeping peacefully. We spent almost an hour holding him, hugging him, kissing him, talking to him, thanking him for the most amazing 12 years. This was done in a private, comfortable room. He was on a beautiful, soft bed and that's what he liked - all things soft. He always slept on our bed. The crematorium (Gateway) that Pets at Peace works with is just wonderful and it is very transparent in the way it operates. We witnessed him being placed and having this option was so important to us. We have the peace of mind that we only received his ashes and also, we stayed with him to the very end. The staff there was amazing and so respectful and all of this has helped us tremendously. We will always miss the big guy but after this final goodbye, we felt some closure. Thank you Helen for offering such a wonderful service. I think most humans of pets aren't aware that this is out there and I think everyone should know. You've been so kind and respectful. You also made yourself available to us on the long weekend and we greatly appreciate everything you have done for us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

  Helen answered our call right away and had an opening to take our cat Peaches at their office. She treated us with compassion and understanding, and explained the procedure in detail and full transparency. Their prices are reasonable and cater to your needs for keepsakes. We would come back any time.
