I would not recommend this clinic to anyone. As a teacher I was shocked to walk into staff being disrespectful to one of their patients. Very unprofessional and rude! The staff are uneducated by the way they were speaking especially to the elderly patient! Please don't waste your time or money in a place like this!

  • Being completely upfront, I have no affiliation or reason to benefit from giving this review. I have seen many massage therapists over the past 20 years due to many sports injuries. As well, I have tried all types of massage methods in search of the best type for me. Recently, I had been experiencing constant aching and at times excruciating pain in my shoulder blade with pain radiating down through my arm. At times, it would make me tear due to the pain, and I was unable to sit in a chair for more than 10 minutes. Unfortunately I was out of the country for the past 6 weeks and did not want to spend the money out of pocket to go seek medical help or massages in the foreign countries. The pain was so great that I pretty much stood for most of the nine hour flight back because sitting in the airplane hurt too much. As soon as I returned home, I went to see a well-regarded sports chiropractic doctor and a massage therapist, and though they did start a treatment plan, the reduction in pain was only about 10% and I didn't get the sense they had ascertained the cause. It was by good chance that at a sport event I ran into Dr. Malone, of Physiomed, and she recommended Edward Hum, the clinic's registered massage therapist. I went to see Edward the next day for a one hour treatment, and I can say unequivocally, that that was the best massage I have ever had in my life. By "best", I mean that his focus was very targeted, therapeutic in nature, and his knowledge of the physiology of muscle structure was incredible (I once dated a kinesiologist and also I am trained in sports education). During the massage, I was able to ask him questions about what he was doing and he fully explained the reasoning behind his approach; he targeted several possible areas where the nerves could be compressed such that it would cause the pain I was experiencing. The relief from the pain in my shoulder and arm went down by about 40% that day. I then went to see the sports chiropractor that afternoon for another treatment and in comparison the difference in effectiveness was very stark. I booked another session with Edward, for the next day, and when I went in he spent time to ask me about how the different parts of my body had reacted to the massage. With that information, he then continued to massage the parts and some new areas that he believed where causal points of the pain cause. I immediately felt the pain dissipate, and later that night it was nearly all gone. After several months of suffering, it was like a miracle that in two days the pain had been relieved! Edward also showed me several stretches that I could do that would help alleviate the tension in that area. Since last week, I have had another session with Edward to loosen the tightness in my hips and help correct an IT band tightness, and again the effect was immediate and lasting. I have been able to run with a much looser gate and a feeling of unrestricted movement. My experience at the Physiomed College Park location has been fabulous. The staff are friendly and one doesn't have the feeling of being just 'another patient'. It felt like it was about caring for me and making sure that they did their best that they could. Without hesitation, I would highly recommend Edward for a massage, and I would not hesitate for myself to try them for physiotherapy and other services at the clinic, if the need comes up.
