  Much like the other terrible ratings I had a woman follow me around for a while. I was buying a foundation and there were no testers, and yes I admit I should’ve asked someone to get me one, but at the same time iemployees should make sure there are testers out for MAKE UP. The “loss prevention” woman saw me looking for testers. She flashes me an Ontario government ID- which I’m pretty sure is illegal. Why would Ontario government provide loss prevention to a private business?? She was obviously trying to be intimidating. She came up to me after and instead of explaining that if I needed help I should ask an associate she was rude and bullied me into purchasing the 10 dollar foundation. I had 50 dollars of product I left behind because I was so appalled I was being followed and in trouble for an employees over sight. I will NOT be returning to shoppers in general because of this incident. Rude and unprofessional. Lost 50 dollars over an employees error.

  Let me start off by saying that i despise of this shoppers, and that i only shop here occasionally because it is right next to the subway station. All of my friends and i have had numerous unprofessional encounters with employees including being followed around, having our bags searched, and being told to "get out" because we/they were unsure if we/they were going to purchase an item or not. An incidence that stands out to me the most was a few months ago when my friend and i were followed out of the store by an employee to have our bags searched. We had been in the store looking at the cosmetic aisles for a good chunk of time and my friend went to go purchase a colour correcting concealer palette. After she purchased it, she was handed the recite and she put the palette into her bag. Just after we exited the store, a man walked up to us and demanded to search out bags. We asked him why he needed to do so and he said that it was because "teenagers like you tend to steal things." My friend opened her bag and showed him the recite but he continued to search her bag and then demand to search mine. Knowing that i didn't steal anything i handed it to him. He looked through my bag and actually went the extra step to open my lunch bag, and open the deodorant and sunscreen that i had to check to make sure that i wasn't stealing them. If you're a teenager i would not recommend because you will most likely either be followed around, have your bag searched, or be told "This is private property. Get out!" because you hadn't decided if you were going to purchase something or not.
