  • Very effective treatment of eczema skin rash symptom on upper arms. It started as a small pinkish skin rash, and progressively grew to a baseball sized eczema skin rash which was very red in colour (I mean "pomegranate" red skin). It was embarrassing walking around with this skin rash; I felt guilty wearing t-shirts, going to the gym, partying with friends and meeting people. Heat and Cold played altering roles with how pink/red my skin would look. My friends identified it as eczema, others said it was a food allergy. I tried creams, lotions, potions... and they did nothing. I altered my diet 360. I started eating very healthy and nutritious, I worked on my body every day (for up to 6 months up to when I saw Wendy), I stopped eating meat products and fast-food; no change. HOWEVER, after 3 sessions at Wendy's Acupuncture, we noticed a BIG difference. The baseball sized swelling and red skin went down immediately to a light pinkish colour. I could tell my skin was reacting to something. Wendy said she had to help "balance" my body; I trusted her. Wendy said to stop using any lotions, pills or anything else. Let her Acupuncture treat the symptoms. After the 14th treatment, it had disappeared. The eczema-like rash was virtually gone; disappeared; nothing. ***EDIT: It's been 4 months since my last visit to Wendy. The eczema-like skin rash is still gone. I had the best summer ever! My friends didn't even remember I ever had anything. Thank you Wendy.

  • I was "pushed" to this clinic by a friend for quitting smoking. He became a fan of acupuncture of Wendy's after Wendy did the impossible by treating his Bell's Palsy facial paralysis. (Tangent and long story not-so-short: 2 years ago, he got hit by a disease called Bell's Palsy, which basically paralyses one side of your face and mouth. Per the doctor, it was caused by a specific kind of virus. His family doctor prescribed him some vitamins but told him that there was not much he could do about it. If he was lucky, the paralysis would recover by itself in 2 weeks. If not, he would have to live with it for the rest of his life. Unfortunately, there was no recovery and we saw him walk around our working place with a twisted mouth and face for months. Somehow, he found Wendy's clinic for alternative treatments and we started to see changes. A month later, his face was back to normal!!) Anyways, given his experience, my friend pushed me to try acupuncture for quitting smoking. Apparently, he had run into other smokers in the clinic who had positive experiences. He knew that I had wanted to quit for a long time but had failed many times. I did not want to fail another time but I'm glad I tried. Thanks to his "push", I am now smoke- free and honestly a different person. For background, I had been a smoker since I was 25 and I smoked 20 cigarettes per day for the last 10 years. I had tried to quit smoking at least 5 times in the last few years with various help, like nicotine replacement, herbal tea, electronic cigarettes, etc. None worked or lasted. Every time when I re-picked up a cigarette, my smoking habits intensified. I honestly believed that I would be a permanent smoker for the rest of my life, until I tried Wendy. I started the treatment a year ago. After the very first treatment, I started getting a weird taste in my mouth whenever I smoked, which reduced my cravings. 5 treatments later, I started to feel uncomfortable in my mouth whenever I smelled cigarettes or even the second-hand smoke. That made me quit smoking completely. That was only 2 weeks into the treatments. I completed a whole cycle of treatments which had 10 treatments in total and spread into one month. It has been more than 12 months since my final treatment. I have no more cravings and would even say that I hate the smell of smoke. This is the best thing I've done for myself. I am a non-smoker!

  • I have been a patient of Dr. Wendy and she has helped me greatly. I experienced a constant shoulder and right hand pain. I went to see my doctor and I also visited a physiotherapist but nothing really worked. I lived in constant pain. I was diagnosed with carpal tunnel and there was a possibility for me to get a surgery soon. After just one session with Dr. Wendy the pain was gone. Dr. Wendy helped me with other health problems ( for example: high blood sugar) as well and I can feel the benefits. I strongly recommend Dr. Wendy. She is not only an experienced professional. She is also a kind and caring person, she makes people feel comfortable in her clinic and she is genuinely happy when she sees her patient feels better. She is well organized, no waiting time. I am writing this note because I want to help other people who live with pain or consider surgery. Thank you Dr. Wendy. You are the best!
